Alfred R. Wagenblast, 74, of Milford, KS, passed away on March 31, 2017
A Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, 10 AM, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 805 Caroline Ave., Junction City, KS 66441. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or the Ronald McDonald House, location of your choice.
Alfred was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, December 15, 1942. He was a Vietnam veteran and served in the US Navy from 1961-1968 as a jet mechanic. Afterwards he worked 30 years in the potted plant and tree nursery business. He then worked for the Sumter County, Georgia school system as grounds keeper, Assistant Director, then Director of Transportation retiring in February 2012. He was an avid hunter and a lifetime member of the NRA and DAV.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith M. (Keyes) Wagenblast; two sons, Michael A. (Kim)Wagenblast and Matthew P. (Tammy) Wagenblast; and three grandsons, Dakota Wagenblast, Rodney Wagenblast, and Kyle Wagenblast.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred L. Wagenblast and Anna M. (Myers) Wagenblast; and his grandson Dalton Wagenblast.
Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, of Junction City, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
