Alex was born on November 19th, 1993, in Wurzburg, Germany, to Lisa and Martin (Robinson) Schwartz. Being from a military family, he lived in many places, but ultimately called Junction City, Kansas, his home. Alex was a quirky, funny, and outgoing child. He loved going to school, camping at the lake, and playing games. While Alex didn't enjoy the traditional sports, he loved and excelled at Taekwondo. He earned his black belt by the age of 10 and had the opportunity to earn trophies at numerous tournaments, including Nationals and Worlds.
In 2007 Alex attended Junction City High School and then earned his GED in 2011 after moving to Georgia. Following his GED, he attended MMTC in Augusta, GA to pursue Cosmetology.
Alex always had a passion for the Arts. He enjoyed music, theater, and reading, but there was no greater constant in Alex's life than his writing. He wrote beautiful, thought-provoking pieces, some of which earned him publishing and awards. He enjoyed journaling, poetry, and writing lyrics as they were ways to express himself when words weren't adequate.
In recent years Alex moved back to Junction City with his family. He loved animals and had hoped to volunteer at a local rescue to help animals in need. Alex enjoyed playing video games, chatting with friends, learning to play guitar, and his writing.
Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Alex would agree that he was a kind and creative soul who wore his heart on his sleeve.
He was above all a loving son, caring brother, and loyal friend. He will be dearly missed.
Alex is survived by his loving family: his mother Lisa of Junction City, KS; his sister, Nikki (Zach) Nolz of Sioux Falls, SD; grandmother, Paula Schwartz of Augusta, GA; two paternal uncles, Norman Schwartz (Carolyn) of Grovetown, GA and Seth Schwartz (Jean) of Hephzibah, GA; two maternal uncles Gary Robinson (Bev) of Scottsdale, AZ and Bill Robinson (Kathy) of Clay Center, KS; his significant other Richard Bell and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Martin, his grandparents, Samuel Schwartz and Clayton and Juanita Robinson, and his great-grandparents, Sol and Kate Sodilsky and Joe and Ann Schwartz.
