Alberta Frances Crayton, 97, of Almena, KS, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, KS. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Alberta was born March 6, 1922, in Reed Springs, MO. the daughter of Charles Noel and Gertrude Mae (Florence) Johnson.

Alberta moved to Almena, KS with her husband James Ralph Peters in 1950. She worked for various care facilities in Norton County for many years. Alberta was a member of the Methodist Church in Almena. She was a good homemaker and enjoyed baking. Alberta spent many years volunteering at the Almena Senior Center.

Alberta loved to dance. She liked old country music.

She married James Ralph Peters and he passed away in 1970.

Survivors include two daughters, Ella L.Moloney of Junction City and Sherrie DeBusk of Weir, KS; twenty five grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Roger Lee Peters, Johnny Peters and James Ralph Jr.; one daughter, Nancy; three husbands, James Ralph Peters, Gus Mader and Francis Crayton; one sister, Evelyn Lee.
