Al was the son of Albert and Helen (Hammer) Cardamone, he was born on May 6, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. In 1973, Al met the love of his life Theresa (Tess) Wiskirchen. He won her affection (after many failed attempts) with the line "would you like a piece of candy little girl?" The rest as they say, is history. They celebrated 45 years of marriage Dec. 1, 2018.
Al enlisted in his second love-the United States Army as a military Intelligence Specialist. He served in the Army for 26 years before retiring in 1992.
Al was more commonly know as Santa Claus by those who came to Santa's Workshop on Spruce and Jackson. At 60, Al earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. This was yet another example to all who knew him that you're never to old to follow your dreams.
Al is survived by his wife Tess, three children, Albert, Katerina of Junction City and Heather (Patrick) Thompson of Norfolk, NE, four grandchildren, Alycia, Alexia, Charlie, and Jaxson and his three siblings, Marie Goin of Junction City, KS, Hank (RuthAnn) Steinbrecher, and Mary (Casper) Sirakowski both of AZ.
