Memorial services for Agnes L. Rohloff will be 11:00am October 8, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Shady Brook, KS south of Woodbine with Pastor John Riebhoff officiating. Inurnment will be in Shady Brook cemetery. Cremation is planned. Memorial contributions in her name may be mailed to Dewain Hettenbach, 2255 G. Ave. White City, KS 66872
Agnes departed this life September 30, 2005 at the Enterprise Estates Nursing Center, Enterprise, KS. She was born August 17, 1914 near Woodbine, KS the daughter of Albert G. and Ida M. (Schlesener) Timm. Agnes attended Woodbine Grade School and graduated from Woodbine High School in 1932. She was baptized, confirmed, and became a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Shady Brook. She was married to Henry Rohloff, Jr in 1934, he preceded her in death 1953.
Agnes was a cook at the hot lunch program of Woodbine schools for several years. She moved to Wichita in 1950 and was a cook at the Lassen Hotel in Wichita for nearly twenty years. She was a resident of Wichita for over fifty years. After retirement, her home was open to many friends who shared good food and good conversation. She was a volunteer for Red Cross for twenty-two years and seldom missed any opportunity to help anyone in need.
She is survived by a sister Elsie Young, Woodbine, KS; a nephew Dewain Hettenbach, White City, KS and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Frances Lucille Timm, and a half sister Dora Hettenbach. Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Junction city, KS is assisting the family with arrangements.
