Agnes C. Houser, 90, of Junction City, died January 18, 2014 at her home.
Agnes was born January 13, 1924 in Augusta, the daughter of Orville & Mary Simpson Kessinger. She lived in Augusta and Wichita area, and moved to Junction City in 1958. She was a secretary at Ft. Riley for the Dept. of Defense. Agnes was a member of St. Xavier Catholic Church.
Agnes married George Houser on April 19, 1947 in Wichita. He died January 26, 1993.
Survivors include: 4 sons, Grant Houser and his wife Eileen, New River, AZ., Gary Houser, Junction City, Gerald Houser and his wife Martha, Hillsboro, and Geoffrey Houser and his wife Donna, Junction City; a sister, Bobbie Joyce and husband Norbert, Wyandotte, MI.; and 6 grandchildren, Ryan Houser, Kelley Houser, Cassie Ransom, Alecia Comer, Jaimie Houser, Justin Houser; 6 great-grandchildren, Michael Houser, Seirra Herron, Avery Houser, Kylee Comer, Grace Comer, and Arielle Comer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Mary Jo Tillman.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, with Fr. Kerry Ninemire presiding. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
