Adline Moore, 88 of Junction City, departed this life on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 in Junction City.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th, from 5-7 pm at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel at 203 N. Washington St in Junction City. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Adline's life on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at the New Church of the Living God at 1315 W Ash St in Junction City.
Adline Moore was originally a longtime resident of Blountstown, Florida, and came to live in Junction City with her youngest child, Elaine Moore, in December of 2004.
She was born April 6, 1926, to the late Dave Boone Sr. and Leona Boone.
Adline was a very kind, generous woman, and a devoted wife. She was a strong, God-fearing Christian woman, and the loving mother of twelve children.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Anderson Moore, Sr.; children, Willie E. Moore, Robert L. Moore, Don Moore, and an infant daughter; three sisters, Mattie Griffin, Eula Adams, and Sadie Boone Thomas; and five brothers, Clemon Boone, Dave Boone, Jr., Clarence Boone, Jimmy Boone, and Rev. Richard C. Boone.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Catherine Moore, Claretha Moore, Christine Moore, Elnora Moore, and Elaine Moore; sons, Leon Moore, Anderson Moore, Jr. and Arthur Moore. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other friends and loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to encourage loved ones to make a donation in Adline's memory to the New Church of the Living God, 1315 W Ash St, Junction City, KS 66441.
